Our Story

At Young & Co, we pride ourselves on being a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors, with a rich history dating back to 1984. Founded by Andrew Young, the practice started out at his home before rapidly expanding to Franklin House and then moving to the Lloyds Chemist shop on Commercial Street and Bath Street. Our continued growth led us to relocate to Bewell House in 2002, and most recently, we took the opportunity to purchase St Ethelbert House in March 2021.

Our History

Our office, St Ethelbert House, has a rich history dating back to the 1880s. Built as a genteel Victorian residence, it was acquired by H P Bulmer Limited and used as directors' offices. After moving out, the property was occupied by various local businesses before Young & Co took residence in March 2021. The property is named after St Ethelbert the King, one of the patron saints of Hereford Cathedral.
